not too sure that these monks refer to alien life... but they do have a point.........

As most would agree current global (in particular USA) policy is leading us down a terrible road of destruction.. and unless something is done soon then we will perhaps see some of the worst manifestations of mankind...

yet at the same time our technological advances are opening up new opportunities.. the concept of a soon to arrive higher being or race is by no means a new one however it is only in recent times that we can see how such a "being" may be a natural evolution of this planet.
We may through the technological revolution being creating the beginings of a shared psyche... a being composed of many but unlike the collective psyche of the mob this collective has no physical manifestation, it exists within our conciousness and is perhaps capable of rising above our emotions

We do perhaps live in a most interesting time ... with more nations than one can name now being nuclear powers, a global population that now exceeds 6 billion, the comming oil crisis and environmental consequences of the industrial (1800's) petroleum (1900's) age all converging in the next ten years......

precisely how humanity is going to survive is a tough question... we afterall lack any credible political or visionary force.. with the worlds most powerful man pretty much recognised as also being one of the worlds most stupid I believe that if nothing else the situation serves to show us that existing political systems no longer
(if they ever did) work. We can I believe no longer look to individuals for solutions, the days of great men are sadly over but perhaps the days of great minds is just dawning...

not from without but from within will come this new intelligence...
