        Being amusing doesn't contradict being informative. Much of it was tongue in cheek macbre humor (black comedy).

        Some of the science was tenuous at best and down right flacky at times but the overall effort was enjoyable. It was an excellent *satire* of science and for that reason I found it amusing.

      My personal favorite was the "gobbled up by strangelets" scenario. I could see Peter Jennings now...

      "Scientists at the Brookhaven National Laboratory announced the creation of something called a strangelet today, but lost containment of it. Before losing contact with the laboratory, they warned that this strangelet, left unchecked will devou......"

      At least I would be able to get in a good laugh before dying..:)
